First of all, we have the Mindfulness 8-Week eLearning experience.
When you work on Mindfulness you become more aware of your patterns of thought and emotions. This can help you to notice how you generally think and react to situations. You will begin to realise that these thoughts and emotions don’t define you, they come and go like the tides. You will be taught to be compassionate with yourself so that you will know when you begin to get caught up with negative thought patterns and be in a position to change it. You will feel empowered to have the choice about how you respond to your thoughts and emotions.
HOW DOES THE THEORY WORK IN THE REAL WORLD?
In Mindfulness, we use various techniques and exercises to help you apply the ideas. Generally, they focus on breathing and our bodies (the senses). How does this work? This creates a space, a moment of pause between you and a stressful situation; to give you time to make the choice on how to respond. Often that is enough to begin a healthy process of stepping back and dealing with a situation in a calmer way. Internally, mindfulness in practice shows you how to detect negative emotions and take care of yourself before these feelings spiral or escalate.
IS MINDFULNESS RIGHT FOR ME?
Many people benefit from practising mindfulness, some don’t even meditate during the practice of it. It can be helpful if you:
- Struggle with negative thought patterns and emotions
- Can’t switch off and just relax
- Worry or overthink about events that you have no control over
- Feel you need to reduce stress in general
Will being aware of my own true thoughts and feelings make me feel worse?
This is an important question. Sometimes, yes. You may find some of the exercises difficult because you will be stripping the thoughts away and dealing with the bare emotion at some stages. However, this isn’t something that is done straight away and only when you feel ready. There are lots of little exercises to help you deal with stress and get you into a more comfortable situation before you will be expected to consider the deeper exercises.

- 14 exercises (to work into your daily habits, and to help you process problem emotions and baggage).

A one-hour online workshop (from the comfort of your couch) covering the following areas:
- Recognising stress
- Getting to the root cause of stress
- Developing coping strategies

The workshop will start with a stress management worksheet and we will discuss different types of stress triggers while completing this. Then we will move on to coping strategies and setting boundaries and anger management.
